Experts fascinated by mass find of mummies

ARCHAEOLOGISTS in Egypt have begun to release details of one of the most remarkable discoveries of the century.

An untouched tomb complex, dating from the first and second centuries AD, may contain up to 10,000 decorated mummies. The tombs were stumbled upon three years ago by an antiquities guard, whose donkey caught its leg in what turned out to be the opening to the graveyard. The discovery was kept secret for fear of looters. But now, after months of excavations, the first pictures and reports have been published.

The site is 230 miles south-west of Giza at Bahariya oasis, which archaeologists now call the Oasis of the Dead, or Valley of the Golden Mummies. The tombs are believed to be spread over two square miles and to contain the bodies of wealthy members of the Graeco-Roman civilisation which had dominated northern Egypt at least since the time of Alexander the Great, four centuries earlier.

The evidence at Bahariya is that they adopted the ancient Egyptian burial traditions of the Pharaohs, and continued to do so even after the Roman conquest, just before the birth of Christ. A few bodies are believed to date back to Alexander's time in Egypt. A Hellenistic temple was built nearby.

Pictures of treasures found in the graves are published this week in the American Archaeology magazine. They show ornate, gilded mummies and simple linen-wrapped ones.

Dr Zahi Hawass, who oversees many of the pyramid sites, writes in the magazine: "I could not believe such beautiful specimens existed. The eyes of some gazed at me as if they were alive. Other mummies, wrapped in plain linen, reminded me of those depicted by Hollywood film-makers."

In one month alone this year, excavators found 105 mummies, most of them covered in gilt and richly painted with religious scenes. Dr Hawass said: "Never before have such a number of mummies been found in a single site in Egypt."

What is even more remarkable is that the tombs have not been looted. Even the most famous discoveries of this century, including Tutankhamen's tomb, found in the Twenties, had been pillaged before the archaeologists got there. As the diggers at Bahariya entered the chambers, the smell of embalming resin was still strong.

Leonard Lesko, an Egyptologist at Brown University, Rhode Island said: "This is a major, major find, the most significant find of mummies from that period." Archaeologists hope to find books of the dead in the tombs, and writing on the walls, which will be studied to see how accurately the Graeco-Romans copied the Pharaonic funerary texts.

The discovery not only offers a rich seam of new evidence about the interplay of Roman, Greek and Egyptian culture, but also provides historians and scientists with a chance to find out about diet and what diseases were prevalent in the area. Archaeologists will resume digging in November and expect to spend up to a decade excavating. Their task is made vastly easier by the fact that the cemetery was not built over.

What is already apparent, is that the Graeco-Roman civilisation adapted Egyptian burial art rather than merely adopting it wholesale. Each mask appears to be different, suggesting that the artists were trying to produce accurate portraits of the person being buried. Pharaonic death masks, in contrast, were not portraits but were stereotypical.

A corollary is that the Graeco-Romans paid less attention than their Pharaonic forebears to the preparation of the dead body, while putting more effort into its exterior decoration. Four basic types of mummy have been found at Bahariya. First is a body wrapped in linen, as in the days of the Pharaohs, without a coffin or sarcophagus. A second type is laid to rest in a pottery coffin. A third is characterised by decorated cartonage - pasteboard made of linen or papyrus - from the head to the waist, on which artists have depicted scenes involving gods who judged the deceased.

The final, most splendid and so far most plentiful, type is of mummies wearing gilded masks. Many are surrounded by funerary artifacts such as amulets and earthenware pottery.

But it is not the quality or style of such finds that most astonishes Egyptologists. It is the fact that the Bahariya tombs are there at all - unblemished and unmolested - as though the Graeco-Roman Egyptian funerals took place yesterday rather than almost 2,000 years ago.

When British archaeologist Howard Carter unearthed King Tut’s tomb in 1922, he revealed history’s most dazzling cache of artifacts using tools found in any gardener’s potting shed — trowels, a fine screen to sift tons of Sahara sand, and wheelbarrows to cart off golden loot. As the millennium turns, researchers in Egypt’s Valley of the Kings and thousands of other archaeological sites worldwide still lay bare the bones of lost civilizations using the most humble of household utensils. But that’s just the beginning of the job. The Victorian image of a solitary scientist dressed in a linen suit and pursuing lost worlds with a whisk broom has been zapped into oblivion by lasers and particle accelerators. The search for ancient cultures now is an expensive, high-tech enterprise that borrows from space exploration, medical research and nuclear physics. Orbiting satellites use the same kind of radar that pierced the clouds of Venus to work like electronic machetes, “clearing“ the jungles that obscure long-buried cities and tombs. DNA analysis of mummies and skeletons can determine family relationships and human migration patterns over continents and thousands of generations.

Archeologists Uncover Ancient Egyptian Mayor's House...08/20/99

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- A large house being excavated in an ancient Egyptian town clearly belonged to the town's mayor and is the first ancient Egyptian mayor's house ever found, an archaeologist said.

"It's comparable in scale to a pharaoh's palace of the period," said Josef Wegner, an assistant curator of the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology. "We know about mayors from ancient Egyptian texts, but never before has the home of a mayor been positively identified."

"We only have a few places where we can learn about daily life in (ancient) Egypt," said William S. Arnett, a professor of ancient history at West Virginia University and an author of a book about the origin of hieroglyphics. "It could open up new vistas for us in terms of daily life and public administration."

Wegner said he and other researchers identified the building as the mayor's house this summer in the ancient town called Enduring-are-the-Places-of-Khakaure-maa-kheru-in-Abydos, which dates from the Middle Kingdom from 2000 B.C. to 1700 B.C. The structure, discovered in 1994, dates back 3,700 years.

Researchers in 1997 found thousands of seal impressions, similar to those made with sealing wax but made by the ancient Egyptians using clay. The seal impressions gave the names of four mayors, and other seals now illegible may have borne the names of two more mayors, Wegner said.

The town, like many in ancient Egypt, was set up to take care of a pharaoh's mortuary temple, in this case that of King Senwosret III, also known as Sesostris III, who ruled from 1878 B.C. to 1841 B.C. The idea was to create a place that would last forever, dedicated to worship of the dead king. It lasted about 200 years, Wegner said.

"Sesostris III was one of the greatest warrior kings on ancient Egypt, probably one of the greatest warrior kings of antiquity," Arnett said. "His administration was at a peak of prosperity." For that reason, it's not surprising that the mayor of a town set up to take care of his mortuary temple would have such an elaborate home, he said.

Stone Age Cave Found In Egypt...07/16/99

CAIRO, Egypt (AP) - Egyptian and Belgian archaeologists have unearthed a cave with primitive wall paintings that dates back to 7000 B.C. near an ancient Red Sea port. Granite axes, knives and hunting tools were found in the Neolithic-era cave near al-Qoseir, 340 miles southeast of Cairo, Mohammed el-Saghir, head of Egyptian archaeology department, said Friday. "The cave seems to be rich with important evidence of human life during the Stone Age," he said. Another cave found 500 yards away was expected to yield similar results, el-Saghir said. Until the 10th century, al-Qoseir was the most important port on the Red Sea. Today, Egypt is planning a major resort in the area.

Egyptian Temple Moving To New Site...07/13/99

CAIRO, Egypt (AP) - Egypt will move a 2,600-year-old Pharaonic temple to a new location to protect it from the ravages of rising ground water, the culture minister said Monday. It will be the largest project of the kind in Egypt since the temple of Ramses II in Abu Simbel was dismantled and reerected in 1968 to protect it from flooding by the creation of Lake Nasser behind the Aswan High Dam. Minister Farouk Hosny said the temple of Hibis in the al-Khargah oasis will be moved to a new site some 500 yards away in a $5.8-million, 2-1/2-year project. The temple, 310 miles south of Cairo, was first built by King Bsmatik II of the 24th Pharaonic dynasty around 660 B.C

Mummy Cemetery Uncovered...06/15/99

Egypt, June 14 — Mohammed Ayadi has spent six years digging through sand and broken rock to peek into the afterlives of long-ago residents of Egypt’s Western Desert. He has inspected rows and stacks of 2,000-year-old mummified remains three miles outside the Bahariya oasis town of Bawiti, then closed the tombs again.

Now, some of the 106 Greco-Roman tombs are being excavated, and Ayadi said Sunday that some may begin to be opened to the public within months. “Every chamber inside is full of mummies,” Ayadi, chief antiquities inspector at the site, said as workers pulled protective plastic from tomb No. 54, revealing both elaborately encased and simply wrapped mummies.

Number in the Thousands Just how many mummies are beneath the four-mile strip of desert isn’t clear — estimates run from 5,000 to 10,000-plus. Archaeologists have found 105 mummies in the four tombs excavated in the past few months, said Zahi Hawass, head of the team. Hawass, speaking in Cairo on Sunday, said the tombs are “like festivals of mummies. ... The discovery is very important because it gives you an idea about daily life.” Ayadi, blowing fine sand away from a plaster shell known as the cartonnage to reveal an ornately painted male face, explains what is known about the people inside tomb No. 54. “This is a rich family because we see decorations around the chest and jewels in the face,” he said.

Update on the Scott Stones...03/10/99

One of the unique features of the ancient temple ruins, built near Bimini by an unknown advanced civilization which apparently was thriving while most of the rest of the world was plodding through the Stone Ages, is that these stones may be far more likely to yield an accurate account of their true age than most of the famous megalithic sites around the world.

To begin with, the area in which they were built, geologists tell us, has been underwater for about 12,000 years. There are also instances in which lava has flowed in between some of the temple stones which may give scientists an approximate date when submitted to testing.

The antiquity of the stones almost leaps out at you upon first glance. There are hollows which have been left in certain broken stones which have undergone such an extensive amount of crystal growth upon their inner surfaces that they now look like the inside of a geode! In many cases, the cement that once held the huge stones together is now completely crystallized. Even more telling is the fact that, some of the massive granite blocks, themselves, now exhibit significant portions which have metamorphosed over the ages to the point where they are no longer even granite.

But perhaps, the most significant of all is the fact that organic matter has been found within an hermetic seal; along with unrusted, worked iron. The iron began to rust soon after the seal was opened, however; which would indicate that the seal had prevented the entry of oxygen for thousands of years. The organic matter was in pristine condition and should prove to be an interesting target for dating procedures. Other hermetic seals, which have yet to be opened, are known to exist, as well.

EXACTLY how old are the Scott Stones? will this ancient megalithic site be one of the first to yield an accurate account of its true age? Did men work iron before the Iron Age? We may soon know!

Update on the "Scott Stones":

The ruins of ancient temples which were built near Bimini over 12,000 years ago have been discovered. This initial dating is based on generally accepted geological evidence involving the location at which these temples were built.

The ruins are megalithic and (though obviously here in the Western Hemisphere) bear a remarkable resemblance to ancient sites in Egypt! So called "quarry marks" found in the Aswan quarries and also on the Great Pyramid, itself, appear to be identical matches with those found on the Bimini temple stones.

One major difference, however, between the Egyptian sites and the these stones is that on the Bimini stones you find a great number of sky maps which have recorded the paths of various heavenly bodies. The major concern of the mysterious ancient civilization that produced these heavenly maps seems to have been Saturn and Jupiter -- with the oldest records reflecting and emphasis on Saturn.

The stones are already drawing international attention and aggressive research and analysis projects are being set up which hope to commence more involved investigations shortly.

The unnamed discoverers have given the temple ruins the title of "The Scott Stones" -- in honor of the Professor who laid down the clues which made the discovery possible.

The exact location of the site is being withheld, for the present, until the proper government officials and museums can be notified.

The site finally selected for the safekeeping of all records and for the great symbol of the esoteric content of the law was the fertile plains of Gizeh, which had stood firm during the flood that had swept over so much of the land some thousands of years ago. This site was situated even higher than was the Temple of Isis.

It was calculated that this area was also approximately the mathematical centre of the land areas of the earth, where there might be the least disturbance by future earthquakes or floods. Here the record vaults were to be hidden, in a small pyramid between the Sphinx and the Great Pyramid, connected to both. Other large pyramids were also to be constructed in the vicinity.

The Sphinx had already been started, then work was discontinued, then restored and added to, after the return of the High Priest, Ra. Originally it was intended to be a memorial to Araaraat, but after the recall of Ra the meaning was changed to symbolise the relation of man and the animal, or carnal world, to those changes which must come about in his spiritual evolution - changes which were already coming about, in the fading of falling away of imperfections of man's bodily pattern.

The base of the Sphinx had been laid out in channels, and in the corner facing the Great Pyramid the story was inscribed as to how all these were begun and built, giving the history of the first invading ruler and the ascension of Araaraat. From the right forepaw, a passage was made to lead to the entrance of the Record Chamber, or Pyramid of Records. This was to remain undiscovered until man overcame his ego and reached true spiritual understanding, at the beginning of the fifth root race.

The Hall of Records was enclosed in a pyramid of its own, also to stay hidden for many thousands of years. It is situated between the Sphinx and the Great Pyramid. Hidden in the north-east corner were thirty-two tablets, buried with the remains of King Araarat. This was the first of the pyramids to be constructed from the shifting sands.

The Great Pyramid of Gizeh was one hundred years in the building: from 10,490 to 10,390 B.C. Ra himself made extensive studies of the terrain, and great care was taken in figuring the geometrical location in relation to the Sphinx and the four cardinal points of the compass.

Although it was planned by Ra, the actual construction and engineering were worked out by Hermes, a descendant of Hennes Trismegistus, who had returned with the Priest from the Nubian land of exile.

The Great Pyramid was built as a hall of initiation, the 'House Initiate', for those dedicating themselves to special services in the secrets of the mystery religion of Egypt. Here the masters performed their vows, consecrating themselves to holy service. Its purpose, therefore, was far greater than that of a burial place.

It was erected by the application of those universal laws and forces of nature which cause iron to float. By the same laws, gravity may be overcome, or neutralised, and stone made to float in air. The Pyramid was thus built by levitation, abetted by song and chanting, much in the same manner in which the Druids of England set up their huge stones at a later period.

Material for erection of the Pyramid was brought from as far away as Nubia; many different kinds of stone being used. Highly polished white limestone was placed on the four sides, in slabs whose joints were cemented together so imperceptibly that the wor k may be compared to the jeweller's precision. This casing stone was later stripped off and pieces may still be found in buildings in Cairo. Portions still lie buried below the sand, A few are still in place at the foundation line on the north side.

The Pyramid's capstone was composed of an alloy of copper, brass and gold, pounded into a covering for the top of the Pyramid. This eventually was desecrated,. by the sons of Heth, on orders of the Pharaoh, under whom the children of Israel suffered in bondage. In certain seasons a cosmic fire was lighted on top of the Pyramid, for symbolic purposes, by a method known only to the Atlanteans..

A long and elaborate ceremony marked the dedication of the Pyramid after the capstone was put into place. The event was announced to the people by a loud clanging of metal. From this ringing-out has arisen the call to prayer, thanksgiving and worship, as symbolised in the church bell. It is also the origin of the trumpet call to arms, and the ringing-in of the New Year.

The Great Pyramid is a record in stone of the history and development of man from the time of Araaraat and Ra to the end of the present earth cycle in 1998. Its records are written in the language of mathematics, geometry and astronomy, as well as in the lands of stone used, with their symbology.

At the end of the cycle, there is to be another change in the earth's position, with the return of the Great Initiate for the culmination of the ancient prophecies. All changes that have come and are yet to come are shown there in the passages from the base to the top. Changes are signified by the layer of stone, the colour of it, and the direction in which the turns are made. There are no undiscovered rooms, as such, in the Great Pyramid.

In the smaller Pyramid of Records, yet to be uncovered, there is a vault sealed with heavy metal, containing the prophecy for the period from 1958 to 1998. Here were secreted the records of the People of the One God, from the beginning of man's entrance into the earth. The occasion of this sealing was attended by Araaraat, Ra and the priests and priestesses of the Temples.

In the Great Pyramid, current history is symbolised by the low ceiling at the entrance of the passage leading to the King's Chamber, as it is called. This low passage or depression shows a downward tendency, as indicated by the variations in the land of stone used. The present period, therefore, may be termed the Crucitarian Age, or the age in which preparations are made for the beginning of the new sub-race. Astronomical and numerical factors indicate this date began in the Autumn of 1932.

When the gradual change taking place in the position of the North Star, Polaris, became noticeable as calculated from the entrance of the pyramid, there will be evidence of the incoming of the new race, with a greater influx of souls from the Atlantean, Lemurian, La, Ur or Da civilisations. These conditions are indicated by the turn in the passage through the Pyramid. The empty sarcophagus in the King's Chamber is itself a symbol of the enlightenment of man as to the meaning of death - as a transition from one plane of existence to another.

The length, breadth, height and various directions of the many layers of stone in the passages and chambers of the Pyramid accurately depict the events of significance in the spiritual evolution of man on planet earth. The birth and death of Jesus of Nazareth are indicated to the year, day and hour, at the turn of the passageway leading to the Queen's Chamber.

At one point in the low passage, 1936 is prophesied as a year of disturbances and turmoils, including wars, storms and land upheavals; with a resulting unrest among groups and masses. After 1956 a time of adjustment follows, and then the world enters a new period as shown in the King's Chamber - some time between 1938 and 1958.

This era is the beginning of developments of an unusual nature in many ways, terminating in the year 1998. It will be a time of preparation for the coming of the Master of the world - not necessarily His actual coming, the time of which no man can ever know. It will be a period of greater spiritual reawakenitig and enlightenment; of new understanding, new life and new faith. There will be marked advancements in the field of science and new knowledge concerning the balancing of the forces of gravity by which the Pyramid itself was built.

The present age of mankind is rapidly approaching a peak in its development. At the crest of the wave there will be a breaking, a clash between the material-minded and the spiritual-minded. Many will fall away; but those who stand firm will be guided in finding the records and interpreting them for the benefit of men everywhere. The important thing lies not in just their discovery but their interpretation!!

The Great Pyramid of Gizeh stands as an historical monument to the present root race. It records the story of man's struggle for spiritual wisdom, and for many ages it was used as a temple of initiation for many of the world's great teachers and leaders. It was here that the Great Initiate, Jesus who became the Christ, took the final Initiate degrees, along with John the Baptist.

Tomb Opening Confirmed to Be LIVE on FOX...02/23/99

Speaking of the Tomb to be opened mentioned above, Mom caught it on FOX during one of the commercials during the SuperBowl Sunday evening(1-31-99). FOX will film LIVE in Egypt on March 2, 1999, the "Opening of the Tombs" is its title(or she had noted). As you know, I mentioned in #194 that Dannion Brinkley said he would be there, regardless if it was connected to the Hall of Records or not. So guess now it is official since FOX made the announcement. Betcha they paid thru the nose to get the coverage on the opening.

Before going to the Sphinx, let us visit the King's Chamber in the Great Pyramid in Egypt. The roof above the King's Chamber is made of marble slabs which are glass smooth on the under side and rough on the top side. In fact the top sides are covered with a dark substance. The purpose is to trap light beams inside because light penetrates the dark upper side and is reflected from the smooth bottom side. Thus the King's Chamber became a "Separator." It separated the light rays from the dark rays. After 12 years of training in the Right eye of Horus, Sacred Geometry and how the cosmos was created, the left brain logic, etc.,the disciple lies down in the Sarcophagus in the King's Chamber. He stays there with the lid on for 3-1/2 days. During this time a beam of light comes in from a shaft in the Kings Chamber aimed at a particular star at a particular time of the year. For example it could be Sirius during its helical rising in July. This beam goes straight through the pineal gland of the Initiate. After a while this forms a white powder on the forehead of the disciple. When the King's Chamber was first entered there was a lot of this powder found. They have initiated a lot of people. IT was everywhere. Some of it was saved in a bottle and is kept in a museum in London, England. When this beam of light reaches the initiate, he is trained to expand his consciousness in a Fibranachi spiral in the ratio of 1-1-2-3-5-8-13-21-34-55-89-144...etc. This expands him quite rapidly. After they have had their experience, they can return along the same spiral in reverse sequence, ie. 55-34-21-13-8-5-3-2-1-1...etc. Until they come back in their body. Then they could get up and step out. Osiris would take up to 30 people with him in his Merkaba when he went through this process. After the Initiate comes back he is transformed tremendously. He (or she) is in Christ Consciousness. Then they go to the Queen's Chamber in order to stabilize the experience. Actually the Initiation began under the Pyramid in a place called The Well. The Well is in the lower fourth dimensional polarity so it attracts everything negative. Also, whatever you are thinking happens. So many people have died down here from poisonous gases, snakes and spiders, etc., the Egyptian government has blocked it off.

INSIDE THE HALL OF RECORDS THE HALL OF RECORDS IN THE SPHINX

The Sphinx is 1/2 Leo the Lion and 1/2 Virgo the Virgin woman. The head was originally a woman. A beard was added later to disguise it. It marks the time of transition between Virgo and Leo on the Zodiac. (In western Astrology this is marked as the transition from Pices to Aquarius.) The Hall of Records is hidden in the right shoulder of the Sphinx. It is decaying and being patched up. the whole Sphinx is tilting. The head is leaning dangerously to one side. THOTH said it will fall off and reveal in the neck a large golden sphere. It is a time capsule and will signal the beginning of a lot of things. Which is about to happen now. 148 sets of three people will attempt to enter the tunnel which leads to the Hall of Records. The Japanese have cameras which can see through earth and rock. They have photographed a clay pot in one corner of the first room. This pot is the key. There are three channels to go from the first room. The right person will know how to read what is written on the pot and they will chose the right path. They will come from the Western Hemisphere. If they don't chose the right path, too bad. The first thing they come to in the channel is a statue in black onyx. It holds a sword up right in front of it. If you are not the right person it will kill you. The second statue will do the same. The third and last statue is a rose quartz and will suck you to it and not let you go if you're the wrong person. If you make it to the door, you will make a sound which will be the right tone and the door will open. Eventually you will come to a white slab of rock. It will light up on its own. It will appear the air is lit up. This wall will have 400 drawings etched on it. The first one is the Flower of Life. The first 48 are drawings of the 48 chromosomes of the Christ Consciousness. Next you turn right and come to a room full of tables where all the physical proof of civilizations from the last 5-1/2 million years are kept. At the end of the tables is a stone stairway which has something on the top of it which looks like a photograph. It is not a photograph but a holograph. It shows a picture of the three persons who were appointed to be the ones to enter. And their names will be written under their pictures. May not be the one they were born with, but the one they are known by on the other side. Each person will be allowed to remove one of the artifacts. These are not ordinary machines. They are shapes of things which connect to the mind of the holder. This way they transmit information on many dimensional levels. The Hall of Records in the Sphinx...02/24/99

The Sphinx is 1/2 Leo the Lion and 1/2 Virgo the Virgin woman. The head was originally a woman. A beard was added later to disguise it. It marks the time of transition between Virgo and Leo on the Zodiac. (In western Astrology this is marked as the transition between Pices and Aquarius.) The Hall of Records is hidden in the right shoulder of the Sphinx. It is decaying and being patched up. the whole Sphinx is tilting. The head is leaning dangerously to one side. THOTH said it will fall off and reveal in the neck a large golden sphere. It is a time capsule and will signal the beginning of a lot of these things. Which is about to happen now. 148 sets of three people will attempt to enter the tunnel which leads to the Hall of Records. The Japanese have cameras which can see through earth and rock. They have photographed a clay pot in one corner of the first room. This pot is the key. There are three channels to go from the first room. The right person will know how to read what is written on the pot and they will chose the right path. They will come from the Western Hemisphere. If they don't chose the right path, too bad. The first thing they come to in the channel is a statue in black onyx. It holds a sword up right in front of it. If you are not the right person it will kill you. The second statue will do the same. The third and last statue is a rose quartz and will suck you to it and not let you go if you're the wrong person. If you make it to the door, you will make a sound which will be the right tone and the door will open. (There is a rumor that J.J. Hurtak has been in Egypt and has already made this tome using the Holy Names of God. And that the Hall of records has already been opened.) Eventually you will come to a white slab of rock. It will light up on its own. It will appear the air is lit up. This wall will have 400 drawings etched on it. The first one is the Flower of Life. The first 48 are drawings of the 48 chromosomes of the Christ Consciousness. Next you turn right and come to a room full of tables where all the physical proof of civilizations from the last 5-1/2 million years are kept. At the end of these tables is a stone stairway which has something on the top of it which looks like a photograph. It is not a photograph but it shows a picture of the three persons who were appointed to be the ones to enter. And their names will be written under their pictures. May not be the one they were born with, but the one they are known by on the other side. Each person will be allowed to remove one of the artifacts. These are not ordinary machines. They are shapes of things which connect to the mind of the holder. This way they transmit information on many dimensional levels. in case something happens to this set, there are 12 identical sets around the world. Inside the Hall of Records...02/23/99

The site finally selected for the safekeeping of all records and for the great symbol of the esoteric content of the law was the fertile plains of Gizeh, which had stood firm during the flood that had swept over so much of the land some thousands of years ago. This site was situated even higher than was the Temple of Isis. It was calculated that this area was also approximately the mathematical centre of the land areas of the earth, where there might be the least disturbance by future earthquakes or floods. Here the record vaults were to be hidden, in a small pyramid between the Sphinx and the Great Pyramid, connected to both. Other large pyramids were also to be constructed in the vicinity. The Sphinx had already been started, then work was discontinued, then restored and added to, after the return of the High Priest, Ra. Originally it was intended to be a memorial to Araaraat, but after the recall of Ra the meaning was changed to symbolise the relation of man and the animal, or carnal world, to those changes which must come about in his spiritual evolution - changes which were already coming about, in the fading of falling away of imperfections of man's bodily pattern. The base of the Sphinx had been laid out in channels, and in the corner facing the Great Pyramid the story was inscribed as to how all these were begun and built, giving the history of the first invading ruler and the ascension of Araaraat. From the right forepaw, a passage was made to lead to the entrance of the Record Chamber, or Pyramid of Records. This was to remain undiscovered until man overcame his ego and reached true spiritual understanding, at the beginning of the fifth root race. The Hall of Records was enclosed in a pyramid of its own, also to stay hidden for many thousands of years. It is situated between the Sphinx and the Great Pyramid. Hidden in the north-east corner were thirty-two tablets, buried with the remains of King Araarat. This was the first of the pyramids to be constructed from the shifting sands. The Great Pyramid of Gizeh was one hundred years in the building: from 10,490 to 10,390 B.C. Ra himself made extensive studies of the terrain, and great care was taken in figuring the geometrical location in relation to the Sphinx and the four cardinal points of the compass. Although it was planned by Ra, the actual construction and engineering were worked out by Hermes, a descendant of Hennes Trismegistus, who had returned with the Priest from the Nubian land of exile. The Great Pyramid was built as a hall of initiation, the 'House Initiate', for those dedicating themselves to special services in the secrets of the mystery religion of Egypt. Here the masters performed their vows, consecrating themselves to holy service. Its purpose, therefore, was far greater than that of a burial place. It was erected by the application of those universal laws and forces of nature which cause iron to float. By the same laws, gravity may be overcome, or neutralised, and stone made to float in air. The Pyramid was thus built by levitation, abetted by song and chanting, much in the same manner in which the Druids of England set up their huge stones at a later period. Material for erection of the Pyramid was brought from as far away as Nubia; many different kinds of stone being used. Highly polished white limestone was placed on the four sides, in slabs whose joints were cemented together so imperceptibly that the wor k may be compared to the jeweller's precision. This casing stone was later stripped off and pieces may still be found in buildings in Cairo. Portions still lie buried below the sand, A few are still in place at the foundation line on the north side. The Pyramid's capstone was composed of an alloy of copper, brass and gold, pounded into a covering for the top of the Pyramid. This eventually was desecrated,. by the sons of Heth, on orders of the Pharaoh, under whom the children of Israel suffered in bondage. In certain seasons a cosmic fire was lighted on top of the Pyramid, for symbolic purposes, by a method known only to the Atlanteans.. A long and elaborate ceremony marked the dedication of the Pyramid after the capstone was put into place. The event was announced to the people by a loud clanging of metal. From this ringing-out has arisen the call to prayer, thanksgiving and worship, as symbolised in the church bell. It is also the origin of the trumpet call to arms, and the ringing-in of the New Year. The Great Pyramid is a record in stone of the history and development of man from the time of Araaraat and Ra to the end of the present earth cycle in 1998. Its records are written in the language of mathematics, geometry and astronomy, as well as in the lands of stone used, with their symbology. At the end of the cycle, there is to be another change in the earth's position, with the return of the Great Initiate for the culmination of the ancient prophecies. All changes that have come and are yet to come are shown there in the passages from the base to the top. Changes are signified by the layer of stone, the colour of it, and the direction in which the turns are made. There are no undiscovered rooms, as such, in the Great Pyramid. In the smaller Pyramid of Records, yet to be uncovered, there is a vault sealed with heavy metal, containing the prophecy for the period from 1958 to 1998. Here were secreted the records of the People of the One God, from the beginning of man's entrance into the earth. The occasion of this sealing was attended by Araaraat, Ra and the priests and priestesses of the Temples. In the Great Pyramid, current history is symbolised by the low ceiling at the entrance of the passage leading to the King's Chamber, as it is called. This low passage or depression shows a downward tendency, as indicated by the variations in the land of stone used. The present period, therefore, may be termed the Crucitarian Age, or the age in which preparations are made for the beginning of the new sub-race. Astronomical and numerical factors indicate this date began in the Autumn of 1932. When the gradual change taking place in the position of the North Star, Polaris, became noticeable as calculated from the entrance of the pyramid, there will be evidence of the incoming of the new race, with a greater influx of souls from the Atlantean, Lemurian, La, Ur or Da civilisations. These conditions are indicated by the turn in the passage through the Pyramid. The empty sarcophagus in the King's Chamber is itself a symbol of the enlightenment of man as to the meaning of death - as a transition from one plane of existence to another. The length, breadth, height and various directions of the many layers of stone in the passages and chambers of the Pyramid accurately depict the events of significance in the spiritual evolution of man on planet earth. The birth and death of Jesus of Nazareth are indicated to the year, day and hour, at the turn of the passageway leading to the Queen's Chamber. At one point in the low passage, 1936 is prophesied as a year of disturbances and turmoils, including wars, storms and land upheavals; with a resulting unrest among groups and masses. After 1956 a time of adjustment follows, and then the world enters a new period as shown in the King's Chamber - some time between 1938 and 1958. This era is the beginning of developments of an unusual nature in many ways, terminating in the year 1998. It will be a time of preparation for the coming of the Master of the world - not necessarily His actual coming, the time of which no man can ever know. It will be a period of greater spiritual reawakenitig and enlightenment; of new understanding, new life and new faith. There will be marked advancements in the field of science and new knowledge concerning the balancing of the forces of gravity by which the Pyramid itself was built. The present age of mankind is rapidly approaching a peak in its development. At the crest of the wave there will be a breaking, a clash between the material-minded and the spiritual-minded. Many will fall away; but those who stand firm will be guided in finding the records and interpreting them for the benefit of men everywhere. The important thing lies not in just their discovery but their interpretation!! The Great Pyramid of Gizeh stands as an historical monument to the present root race. It records the story of man's struggle for spiritual wisdom, and for many ages it was used as a temple of initiation for many of the world's great teachers and leaders. It was here that the Great Initiate, Jesus who became the Christ, took the final Initiate degrees, along with John the Baptist.

The Heart of the Sphinx Vision Journey of Mark Tremblay and Elizabeth Joyce from their notes on their experiences in Egypt April 10 - 20, 1996.

The Great Sphinx is to the northeast of Chephren's Valley Temple. Where it sits was once a quarry. Chephren's workers shaped the stone into the lion and gave it their king's face over 4,500 years ago. The sphinx faces the rising sun with a temple to the front which resembles the sun temples which were built later by the kings of the 5th Dynasty. The figure was buried for most of its life in the sand. King Thutmose IV (1425 - 1417 BC) placed a stela between the front paws of the figure. It describes when Thutmose, while still a prince, had gone hunting and fell asleep in the shade of the sphinx. During a dream, the sphinx spoke to Thutmose and told him to clear away the sand because it was choking the sphinx. The sphinx told him that if he did this, he would be rewarded with a kingship.

Thutmose carried out this request and the sphinx held up his end of the deal. The sphinx is built of soft sandstone and would have disappeared long ago had it not been buried for so long. The body is 200 feet (60m) in length and 65 feet (20m) tall. The face of the sphinx is 13 feet (4m) wide and its eyes are 6 feet (2m) high. Part of the uraeus (sacred cobra), the nose and the ritual beard are now missing. . The beard from the sphinx is displayed in the British Museum. The statue is crumbling today because of the wind, humidity and the smog from Cairo. Attempts to restore it have often caused more harm than good. No one can be certain who the figure is to personify. It is possible that it is Chephren. If that is so, it would then be the oldest known royal portrait in such large scale.

Some say that it was built after the pyramid of Chephren was complete. It may have been set as a sort of scarecrow to guard his tomb. Still others say it is the face of his guardian deity, rather than Chephren himself. The image of the sphinx is a depiction of royal power. Only a pharaoh or an animal could be shown this way, with the animal representing a protective deity. In the 1980's, a carefully planned restoration of the Sphinx was in progress. Over 6 years, more than 2,000 limestone blocks were added to the body of the sphinx and chemicals were injected. This treatment did not work. It just flaked away along with parts of the original rock. Later, various mortars and many workers who were not trained in restoration worked for six months to repair it. In 1988 the left shoulder crumbled and blocks fell off. Present attempts at restoration are under the control of the Supreme Council of Antiquities' archaeologists. They are concentrating on draining away subsoil seepage which is damaging the rock. They are also repairing the damaged shoulder with smaller blocks and staying with the original size.

Prophecy and predictions are a part of all our lives, our world and our universe. They represent phenomena that at the very least contain truths that cannot be denied. Prophecy has found a place in every nation, every language, every religion and in every age. Among the hieroglyphic writings in the Sphinx and Great Pyramid of Egypt are to be found prophetic statements that corroborate the prophecies of both famous and unknown seers. Interpretation of prophecies and visions has to be done very carefully in order to distinguish what is yet to come from what has already happened, as all time is simultaneous, and intuitive perceptions can pick up many things. With this in mind, one must let intuition further guide the interpretation. The visions described below are to be looked at in this manner in order to get the most out of them. Even so, their import is fairly clear. Deeper and more personal meaning can be gleaned with care. Initiation means to begin; specifically, to become conscious on the next higher level, eventually on the Divine Plane encompassing all universal energies. To be able to do this requires proper physical training and spiritual preparation. The nerves and energy pathways of the body must be strengthened and conditioned to enable them to bear these high vibrations without harm.

To become conscious on a higher plane involves conducting the vibrations characteristic of that plane through the spine, and from there through the nerves and into the body. At some point in one's spiritual unfoldment one gains a profound degree of alignment with the True Self, which some call Its "indwelling." The body proceeds to develop a power of endurance or resilience that enables it to ascend to yet higher levels, and will itself advance according to the progressive degree of consciousness of the spirit dwelling in it. As we have all seen, this degree of consciousness fluctuates depending on one's emotional condition and efforts at selfdiscipline, within the limits of one's present octave of vibrations. These fluctuations must not exceed the limits of the developed resilience or endurance of the nerves. If they do, injuries and sickness of a possibly serious nature occur. The high vibration of the Creative Vital Energy of the True Self would be absolutely lethal for a physical body whose vibratory state had not yet reached that level, "burning out" the nerves and nerve centers. For this reason, the Creative Vital Energy, which is seated in the spinal column, is stepped down to a life energy vibration corresponding to the person's present consciousness. Only this transformed and moderated vital current is released into the nerves and body.

The Great Initiation, or Self-Realization, means consciously experiencing this Creative Vital Energy and the creative vibrations of Eternal Being on every plane of development in their original frequency without transformation. This naturally requires a corresponding amount of nerve resilience. In preparation for this stage of growth one must slowly and carefully awaken and develop the appropriate nerve centers and learn to direct their energies. As you develop this resilience you are developing your capacity to concentrate, and through purposeful focusing to experience more fully. With practice one can develop the strength of his nerves to such a degree that he can maintain and remember conscious participation even at the highest levels. In the process of exploring at higher levels various tools can be employed with one's trained focus to enhance awareness and understanding. The experiences described below were greatly aided by a "talent" with which anyone with self-discipline can establish contact with another being, or the consciousness and energies of an object or place, up close or at a distance ...Telepathy. Telepathic connection abilities begin with learning to fix and maintain your awareness on one single thought for however long you will.

Concentration is very helpful for spiritual progress and essential for higher conscious awareness. It allows you to direct your awareness into any purpose or experience or action you are called upon to complete, and direct the power of your will to accomplish, or participate in, great things. Once you have developed the ability to concentrate, one focuses one's thoughts entirely on the being with whom you wish to establish contact. Allow your intuition to guide you. With your eyes closed imagine the person you want to reach, seeing him with your third eye. See his body, his face, his eyes. Then imagine you are he and he is you. It can be helpful to actually feel your hands and your body are his, until you achieve complete identity with the person you are trying to reach. When you reach this point, focus clearly on the thought you want to transmit. Think it with intense awareness that you are that person, and that person is thinking these thoughts.

To summarize, this tool of awareness has three phases: First, both of you progress into a deep awareness of each other. Second, the two people, or object/place and person, become one. Third, as one being your thoughts are shared true communication.

THE SECRET OF THE SPHINX - A MERGING

Mark and I, having long devoted ourselves to the training of our consciousness and the conditioning of our nerves, traveled to Egypt with the intention and expectation of some deep perceptions. Our devotion has paid off. Especially notable is when at one point during our journey to the Pyramid Plateau at Giza, Mark and I focused our awareness and begin to merge with, and "go within", the Sphinx. We became aware that Holy Mother Ammachi, a fully realized saint from India who visits the US every summer, and who's audiences we were able to attend, joined and prepared our energies for just this mission when she came to New York in July, 1995. What follows is a description of our experience.

Going deep into meditative telepathy, we connect with the Sphinx. At the start we see a hidden underground chamber carved in bedrock. It has a fitted pyramidal stone lid or capstone, which is 30 to 40 feet below the surface of the sand. It measures 4 cubits on each side and is 2 cubits tall. The volume of this cover stone is 161.4 cubic feet. We are uncertain if it was made of limestone or granite, but sense the weight is 12 to 15 tons. The chamber it covers is 20 meters deep with a square base of 32 meters per side. Around the perimeter of the chamber are clay tablets - 28 in all.

There is a small, man-made lake, although the water may have drained away over the centuries, and a green boat with a head painted in gold on the front. It is 7 cubits in length and made of papyrus. We see a pyramid 20 cubits tall in the center of a platform of solid crystal encrusted with gold ornamentation. We sense there are many of these rooms and that they may stretch as much as 400 feet behind the Sphinx. We get a strong intuitive hit that these constitute the legendary Hall of Records, containing teachings of Sacred Geometry and records of Earth's history extending back in time from the time of the 4th Dynasty of Egypt and including the history of Atlantis and Lemuria. It is part of the "House of Wisdom," an underground complex of chambers and corridors connecting the Pyramids, which has been hidden for ages.

Next, we become inwardly aware of an as yet undiscovered stairway of 13 steps leading from the surface down to the capstone of this first chamber. Each step has engravings that will provide very useful and important information to mankind. At the bottom of these steps is a large Stele, or proclamation stone, which has many encrypted equations of physics, including "integral and differential maximum equations," and something called the "Epsilon Equation" along with the method of computing the number of atomic elements. My sense is that they relate in some way to the work Albert Einstein was doing and addresses levitation or the manipulation of the forces of gravity. Part of the meaning of this will be found in the inscriptions on the thirteenth step.

On the west side of the capstone we sensed a door leading into another inner chamber housing the rarest of objects: works of great artistry, gems, crystals and precious tablets. Along the back of the Sphinx is an indentation. We perceive there is a room here, and within it there are two cephers, or burial chambers: one 18 feet long and the other 12 feet. We sense that bodies of the 1st Dynasty were laid to rest there. Our vision deepens and the purpose of the experience becomes more clear as an Illuminated One appeared to me wearing gold and blue vestments. In his hand he held the Sevenfold Key to Eternity. He speaks: "The Mind is the capstone of man. The Spirit is the capstone of the mind. God is the completion, the capstone of Spirit." We are informed that the Temple, this Hall of Records, will be uncovered only when Man The Initiate becomes the living apex, or capstone, through which the Divine Power is focused into a structure one's body and life in this world. (Hence, the importance of strengthening the nerves). It is confirmed that the "Lion Faced Hierophant" contains the entrance to the House of Wisdom and that here are also chambers hidden externally. (The Sphinx is being referred to here, although it has the face of a human. This is not explained.) Rediscovery is close at hand.

These structures in Egypt have existed for the purpose of inspiring mankind to search for the higher truths and to yearn to rise above materialistic ideals. Man will become more Spiritual and grow to understand the workings of life and God on the metaphysical levels. Once the above-mentioned capstone is unearthed and found, man will again meet the Masters who are silently waiting. Their teaching will remove all clouds of dogma and re-clothe him in the vestments of Truth and Life. Glorious chants of the Illuminated will again resound throughout the ancient passageways and chambers. Man will discover many secrets of the ancients, techniques and technologies that will advance our civilization beyond our wildest dreams. Only the "Final Secret" cannot be handed to us - Ascension must come from within our hearts. The way is shown, but we must travel it ourselves.

The secret of life and truth and all manifestation will become known to those who have prepared themselves for higher awareness. The Eternal Wisdom also relates to "travel" between worlds, of "being" someplace or some way else - teleportation and transformation. This Knowledge I will here call The Gateway. A hint of this was seeded into the minds of the writers of the movie Stargate, yet it is not literally what was shown there. It is not a device. It is a "talent" of higher consciousness. By attuning to a time or space through the will and vibration and concept, by "setting a condition" through the alignment of thought, in a process related to the telepathic connection described above, one "moves," one becomes "there." We are standing by the Stele Stone in front of the Sphinx. Mark is greeted by the Egyptian goddess Hathor and a being identified as Harrem Baaub. They welcome us the first to be greeted here in over 4,000 years."There will be many in this Sacred Society who will meet with you. We are an invisible civilization." Ptah says, "I am your Teacher. You have been here before. Be patient with your bodies as you absorb these new energies. Go slowly". Mark responds: "I surrender. I want nothing. I am a man of Love. I am here to serve my mission and to help Humanity. I am here to declare the Truth to all lands and nations." We become aware the Stele Stone is not a mere stone. It possess a consciousness and can reason.

A chant comes to us spontaneously: "Whe He Chak E AdTe." We are learn that for five days the Stele will "speak" to us. Through it the Masters will give to us much information. In the meantime, we are instructed to wander and go where we feel is correct, where our inner knowing leads us, and that there will be another special message for us within the King's Chamber. We will be directed and we will be Illuminated. Again, the message, "Go slowly." There before us is Isis facing the Sphinx, throwing water and chanting incantations. We kneel and place our foreheads onto the ground, then chant: "Amen, Christ, Hil Ha Ha, Alla, Islam, Shalom, Shalom! We salute every religion on earth with one heart!" Needless to say, this is a point of intense initiation for us, one of many awesome experiences we were to participate in. We had to assimilate powerful energies from that experience for five days and the Master Guides helped us with this with further instructions during our visit.

Even so, we both had to sleep for about twelve hours after this initiation. We were informed that the energies will be very powerful by the end of the week and that there will be automatic energy infusions available when we encounter such great inner Teachers. We accept this, however it comes. Our Vision returns to the great monument. The scent of White Lotus Blossom is emanating from within the Sphinx. We walk around the Sphinx three times in a spiral, in silence. We sense now that there are four rooms within the Sphinx itself. At different levels there are stairs, on the left paw and behind it, there is a stairway that goes down into the center of the Sphinx. It is revealed to us that there is a passageway within the right neck of the Sphinx. The room accessed from the shoulder of the Sphinx is very important. Ptah speaks: "In the back of the Sphinx is a powerful energy that is focused in the neck and shoulder area. The Sphinx is shaking and rotating like a spiral. It rotates and its vibrations seep into the center of the Earth, and they are spinning faster and faster." The Egypt God Occodon, operating on the inner planes, will supervise the great discoveries to come regarding these chambers in the Sphinx and the Pyramids. He will function as a telepathic "transceiver" in this 3rd dimension and will lead those who will eventually open the monument. The opening of the right paw is anticipated for this fall.

There will be chanting and trumpet fanfares from three angels of Gabriel. The conservators of the Sphinx will not succeed with their repairs because when the Hall of Records, which is the famous, mysterious "Secret of the Sphinx" is revealed the Sphinx will not be needed as a reminder on the planet anymore. It was the Guardian of the Old World's wisdom, a reminder that there is something more to know. Now, with the revelations, there will be a New World. Some intuitives have foreseen the Pyramids and Sphinx actually disappearing, perhaps during a sand storm, but that they will actually be "lifted off with lasers through the various air shafts." This may be quite a stretch for some, and perhaps there is another explanation. Mark receives the "Initiation of the Flame" In our vision, the heart within the Sphinx begins to pulsate again with white light energy. There is Illumination within the Sphinx from Solar Power, just begun today, April 12, 1996, after many centuries of quiet. This is an etheric flame, a torch of light for purification and wholeness, much as the Olympic Torch is a guiding symbol, but much, much more. Occodon bears the torch, the flame he has guarded so well, and states that it is time to pass it on to Mark! On left ... Blue/Silver/Violet... on right... Red/Orange/Gold. "This flame represents the balancing of the Yin and Yang. Do you accept? "You will be anointed this afternoon in the King's Chamber in the Great Pyramid. April 18th you will have full powers. You have received a command today to accept multitudes for healing, help and love. Begin your new work. Know that both of you have been chosen by the Hand of God."

AMAZEMENT

I want to give you a brief review of my experience within the Queen's Chamber on the afternoon of April 11th. When Mark and I arrived, the guards seemed to recognize us without words. We were allowed to begin in the Pit, where there is usually no admittance to purify and meditate. We stayed in there for about 2 hours, then crawled and climbed up to the Queen's Chamber. I knew before we arrived that it would be a very special day. The guards, again without words, emptied out the chamber and told us we could meditate for ´ hour. I asked them why they were doing this for us, as we had not tipped them, and they said they "felt" we were of holy energies. This surprised me to no end! I meditated for about ten minutes, then felt myself connect with the vortex energies Norma Milanovich has been working with. She is the author of We the Arcturians and channels Kuthumi. She has traveled around the world to place energy vortexes in eight locations. I was asked to place an Eight Pointed Star within the pyramid, and to connect it to all of the vortexes she had been to. Then AMAZEMENT occurred. Suddenly, there were hosts of Angels, led by Gabriel. This vision was clear to both Mark and myself. I "heard" Hosannas and songs of joy. We were both told that they had been waiting for over 200,000 years for this event. I "saw" graves open up and people ascend to heaven with great relief. They praised the act we were doing. I continued to meditate and asked to have the Star placed. Three small angels appeared holding a magnificent elliptic shaped object, like a wing, made of pure gold with a gemstone of Lapis Lazuli every six inches or so.

The angels took this form up placing it against the ceiling of the Queen's Chamber. Immediately, a second piece appeared near the floor - brilliant gold with ruby stones - and the angels flew it up to the ceiling placing it over the first one. It began to look something like a ceiling fan! This was done a total of four times, there being four pieces. Each was of solid gold with gems. The first gems were Lapis, the second Ruby, the third Emeralds, and the last were Diamonds. When all four were in place they overlapped at their centers forming a brilliant eight pointed Star. It was truly amazing! We were given instructions to activate it at a later time from the area of the Sphinx. Which we did on the 14th. At that time there was a lot of turbulence and chaos within the ranks of our work. People from Egypt and England were trying to stop the expedition. There also was a mass murder of tourists one half of a mile from where we were staying! Mass-ego resistance can manifest in such ways when great changes are happening. Nonetheless, the Star was activated and the results were powerful and fulfilling. Each blade was connected to a vortex from Norma's work. I felt an overwhelming harmony, warm energy and received inner confirmation that the work was complete and timely. This had to be accomplished within the first half of 1996 because of the great changes to occur during late 1996 and 1997. Upon my return to New York City, Mark and I went to a book store and picked up Barbara Hand Clow's new book The Pleiadian Agenda. There in the book was the eight pointed Star. I was floored! It had the same shape but without the gems. She states it is to be installed within a vortex soon to balance our gravitational force and connect with the Pleiadians and also to connect the Andes with Egypt. Nothing is mere coincidence, and the work is done! We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who supported the trip and prayed with us on April 14th, and the unseen Hierarchy, for giving me the honor to place the Star and for your great and overwhelming love. It means more to me than you know. I have a passion for making wisdom universally accessible. The following interpretation is made for that purpose, as best I can serve it. It is of course not the only way to see it, and there may be more to be found. I know that with regard to dreams, when a dream is shared with another it becomes their dream, too. Indeed it can yield valuable insights to all who hear it and desire to delve into its meaning for them. Here I offer what these notes and wonderful journey has given to me. See where it takes you. Treasures Within.... Connecting telepathically with the Sphinx can represent a reconnecting with the inner guide and guardian of your own Wisdom, and to the magnificence of the you that has lain forgotten since ancient times. What you once were and what you are in Truth has been purposefully preserved, hidden safe and secure in the bedrock of your being, even though the shifting sands of time have buried it. The aliveness and emotional connection to this inner Spiritual Truth, symbolized by the lake in the first chamber, may have drained away over the centuries but the green boat of healing, composed of the natural material of your being, remains waiting for you to bring emotion back to your hidden spirituality, and to carry you across the waters of your soul. It bears the golden image of your true nature on its prow. Within you is the House of Wisdom and the records of all human existence. There is nothing outside of you, you lack nothing. The truth is within you - all of it. The Path in this world has been described in many ways, and in differing numbers of stages. I see the thirteen inscribed steps leading down to the capstone of the first chamber as symbolizing thirteen stages of learning or vital lessons that must be learned to reach the level of mastery represented by the capstone, which itself gives full access to your inner repository of Wisdom. Thirteen because the thirteenth is the beginning of the next level after the completion of the traditional twelve steps. It means continuing on. Levitation represents to me how with wisdom we overcome the heaviness, limitations, temptations or attachments of this material world. The "treasure chamber" west of the capstone represents an honoring of the accomplishments of this world, yet these treasures are left outside the Halls of Wisdom, which contains solely spiritual treasures. "The Mind is the capstone of man. The Spirit is the capstone of the mind. God is the completion, the capstone of Spirit." This is a crystal clear message I consider to be at the core of my interpretation. The ancients often built their monuments to be literal, physical representations of the wisdom of the ages. The capstone is a literal representation of the mastery of the human mind, which is the key or entry to our inner wisdom, and it will be mastered through our own efforts - the thirteen steps - to prepare for initiation, when one's purified mind "...becomes the living apex...through which the Divine Power is focused into a structure -- the body and life in this world." Our rediscovery of our truth, individually and as a race, is close at hand. When we "unearth," or liberate our capstone minds from the shifting-sand-thinking of the material world we "will again meet the Masters, who are silently waiting to instruct us further. The "ancient passageways and chambers" of our body and spirit and experience in this world will again be filled with the "glorious chants," the song of our own illumination. There are many Great Beings who will meet with us as we advance through the initiations. We will not be alone, and Ptah, the Divine Presence in your heart: "I AM your Teacher." This is not new to you, and you are not as unprepared as you may think. Be patient with yourself and gentle with your bodies as you learn to assimilate higher energies. Don't rush yourself. The sometimes seemingly lifeless "stele stone" of the teachings we encounter in books or classes is not mere words. There is indeed a living consciousness behind them prepared to help us understand and live them. Again, we are not alone. Again, the magnificent, yet worn and seemingly unpromising Sphinx of your outward self contains great offerings. The "four rooms within the Sphinx itself" could represent the four chambers of the heart. They are indeed "very important." "The conservators of the Sphinx will not succeed with their repairs" because you will not need the outer shell when you have attained the wisdom held within. You have been trying to preserve what will be dissolved when the reminder of Truth is no longer needed. These monuments to your Truth will be lifted off by the "lasers" - the coherent Light of your being via the "air shafts" - your openness to the Heavenly Powers. Restored to our awareness is the Light, the Etheric Torch that exists within the heart of the Sphinx of our being for our purification and wholeness. It is the Torch of Balance, balancing Yin and Yang, a light of endless energies, and our nature commands us to "accept multitudes for healing, help and love." We must begin our work and know that we have indeed been chosen by the Hand of God, and are not merely presuming a position on our own. The Holy Star, the Light we establish within the sacred structure of our own being, will prove connection with all beings, each of us being a vortex if the Spirit in this world.

TOMB OF OSIRIS DISCOVERED NEAR THE GREAT PYRAMID?...02/02/99

An archeological team led by Dr. Zahi Hawass has reportedly found what may be a pre-Dynastic underground tomb near the Great Pyramid, a Danish newspaper reported last week. Dr. Hawass, Egypt's Undersecretary of State for the Giza Monuments, while on a lecture tour in the Scandinavian countries, spoke to a gathering of notables, including Queen Margarethe, at Dansk Industri's pyramid-shaped glass convention center in Copenhagen, Denmark on Sunday, January 24, 1999. According to the Danish newspaper Elektra Bladet, Queen Margarethe "appeared at Dansk Industri's pyramid-shaped glass hall, at a lecture by Dr. Zahi Hawass, the world's leading Egyptologist and head of the Giza excavations." "Between the Sphinx and the Khefren Pyramid, Hawass and his staff have discovered a hitherto unknown subterranean shaft, reaching a depth of 29 meters (96 feet). In the bottom of the shaft they found a stone sarcophagus surrounded by water. If Hawass's theory holds, he has found the grave of Osiris, the (Egyptian) god of death." "The queen was listening enthusiastically from the first row. Since 1962, when she was a young crown princess and tried her hand in Egypt as an amateur archeologist, she has had an ardent interest in the pyramids of Egypt." "The finds that he (Dr. Hawass) were describing were so great that his voice was almost tearful." "Dr. Hawass ended his lecture by discreetly inviting the queen to visit his excavations at Giza, as Prince Henrik did last year." I think that the object in the back is a tower used to study the heavens (like the Tower of Babel). Ancient peoples studied the heavens by constructing towers. They correctly understood that God speaks to people through the heavens. The ring near the top looks like a level at which people walked to do their study. Also, the point at the top probably has something to do with this study, perhaps used as a point of reference or a point that would cast shadows on the earth. The fact that many people think of space ships shows how much the 20th century confused mind gravitates to aliens and space travel. I don't deny the existence of aliens but they are greatly misunderstood. They aren't what most of you think.

My wife came in the room and she tossed in the idea of a dressing room for princesses. But she doesn't want to be taken seriously.

Archaeologists find ancient sarcophagus in Egypt...7/21/98

Archaeologists in Egypt have found the 3,500-year-old sarcophagus of a governor who ruled the south for Pharaonic King Teti, antiquities officials said Tuesday. The stone coffin was discovered in April in the desert near Sakkara, site of the famous stepped pyramid of Pharaoh Zoser, they said. Results of the find were published Tuesday and the officials said the sarcophagus had been sealed soon after its discovery. Al-Akhbar newspaper quoted Mahmoud Abdel Razek, head of the archaeological team, as saying the sarcophagus was found empty. Alabaster jars, copper pots and pottery had surrounded it. (Reuters)

New sandstorm hits Egypt, planes diverted...3/17/98

A sandstorm turned Cairo skies yellow for the second time this week Tuesday and forced two planes coming from Saudi Arabia and Lebanon to divert, airport sources said.

They said visibility was down to 300 yards at Cairo International Airport and air traffic controllers told pilots of incoming planes to land at their own risk. Takeoffs were not disrupted. A Cairo-bound EgyptAir plane coming from Jeddah landed in the Sinai airport of Sharm el-Sheikh, and a Middle East Airlines flight returned to Beirut, the sources said. (Reuters)

Archeologists open sealed ancient tomb in Egypt...2/28/98

ABU SIR, Egypt (Reuters) - Czech archeologists Friday opened the basalt sarcophagus of a Pharaonic priest who had remained undisturbed since his burial over 2,500 years ago.

About 30 dignitaries and journalists crammed into the 140 square feet underground tomb of Iufaa which was discovered by the Czech mission in 1995. Some 92 feet above them, almost 120 diplomats and archeologists waited in the desert around the Abu Sir pyramids for a glimpse of the coffin which dates back to 525 BC.

``This tomb has been undisturbed by robbers. The fact it was found in situ is unique,'' Czech Egyptologist Miroslav Barta told reporters at the site, 12 miles west of Cairo. ``This is a great discovery but it is not as important as the amount of information we will find about the ancient lives of the Egyptians,'' he added.

Inside the tomb shaft, laborers dusted off the four-ton basalt coffin lid with its benign-looking depiction of Iufaa before wrapping it in chains and lifting it. Spectators gasped as they saw the decorated wooden lining of the tomb and the fragile wooden box containing Iufaa's mummy. Workers removed the canopic jars, furniture and wealth of pottery around the tomb before it was opened.

``This is very important because it reveals the secrets of a man who was also the controller of the Pharaonic palace,'' Zahi Hawas, director of the Giza pyramids plateau, told Reuters. Barta said Iufaa's tomb was the first to be discovered intact after British archeologist Howard Carter opened Pharaoh Tutankhamen's gold-filled burial chamber in 1923.

Archeologists said that while no gold or jewels were found in the priest's tomb, the richly inscribed sarcophagus and the limestone walls were invaluable for Egyptologists. ``The tomb provides information about when the Persians were in Egypt, something we don't know much about,'' Barta said. Archeologists said Iufaa probably practised under 26th dynasty Pharaoh Ankhkaenre Psamtik who was dethroned by Persian ruler Cambyses. ``The tomb is in an isolated cemetery of 12 others who probably cooperated with the Persians,'' Hawas said.

Barta said the Pharaonic cults had many Persian followers and Iufaa's tomb showed he was highly regarded. Most of the original limestone walls of the tomb no longer exist and the Czech mission built a dome above the sarcophagus to protect it from the crumbling rock it was cut into.

``There is no gold in this tomb but the amazing thing is that it was found intact. It is like looking at the unknown. The sands of Egypt always reveal secrets,'' Hawas said.

Archeologists find tomb of King Tut's nurse 12/09/97 (Reuters)

French archeologists said Monday they had found the tomb of the wet nurse of Egypt's pharaoh Tutankhamun and that it shed some light on the mysterious boy king who ruled more than 3,000 years ago.

Alain Zivie, director of the archeological mission, said his team had started clearing the first level of the tomb of the nurse, named Maya, and would continue with the remaining ones in the next digging season. Tutankhamun ruled from 1361-1352 B.C. For the full Reuters News Flash story
